Responsibilities

PeopleTec is currently seeking a Mid-Level ISSM position to support our Redstone Arsenal, AL location.

 

The Cyber Analyst shall support the ISSM functional areas to protect and defend SMDC information and information systems by ensuring the availability, integrity, authentication, confidentiality, and non-repudiation of the system.  This includes restoration of information systems by incorporating protection, detection, and reaction capabilities. This is a blended onsite/telework position.

 

Qualifications

 

Required Skills/Experience:

  •  Review systems documentation for completeness and readiness for security control assessor validation. The Cyber Analyst shall coordinate with the appropriate system owner or Information System Security Manager to gather missing information and assist the Government in resolving issues precluding validation analysis, such as Impact values (Low, Moderate, High) and Security Objectives (Confidentiality, Integrity, and Availability (CIA)), System Categorization and Assess & Authorize or Assess Only disagreements. 
  •  Review RMF documentation for completeness and readiness for validation analysis in support of Authority to Connect under Reciprocity. 
  •  Provide RMF execution support throughout all RMF phases including coordinating Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS) training and access. 
  • Ensure Federal Information Security Modernization Act (FISMA) compliance and provide status updates. 
  •  Assist the Government in reviewing compliance with current Cybersecurity policy, regulations, and directives to ensure secure configuration and operation of all operated and maintained enterprise capabilities and IT assets, proposing corrective actions as required. 
  •  Track Army circuit compliance status by coordinating with Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) and Army Command circuit owners and provide status updates. The Cyber Analyst shall: 
  •  Generate pre-defined artifacts relating to requests for delays to disconnect (DTDs) from Army Agencies. Draft and review of DTDs shall be provided to the Government within two duty days. 
  •  Maintain and track the delays to disconnect from initiation to signature by properly appointed Authorizing Officials (AO). 
  • Evaluate user issues and identify if a trouble ticket is required. 
  •  Assist Organizational Information System Security Manager (ISSM) in validating user access to the Department of Defense Information Network-Army (DoDIN-A). The Cyber Analyst shall: 
  •  Assist the Organizational ISSM in reviewing submitted DD Forms 2875, System Authorization Access Request (SAAR). 
  • Assist in tracking and reporting training and certification compliance across the Army, including trend analysis. 
  •  Assist the Organizational ISSM by reviewing Army Training and Certification Tracking System (ATCTS) profiles to ensure that the proper Profile Assignment and DoD 8570.01-M / AR 25-2 position is correct in accordance with the uploaded duty appointment letter/memorandum as required.
  • Ability to clearly present and communicate technical approaches and findings. 
  • Secret security clearance required as well as RMF and eMASS experience. 
  • Travel: 10 %
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • An active DoD Secret clearance is required to perform this work. Candidates are required to have an active Secret clearance upon hire, and the ability to maintain this level of clearance during their employment.

 

Education Requirements:

  • Associate's degree or Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience. 
  • Minimum of 3 cyber related certifications may be used in place of unrelated academic field. 
  • Minimum of 6 plus years of cyber/IT related experience.
