Systems Engineer and Aviation Architecture Subject Matter Expert

PeopleTec is seeking a motivated, self-starting Systems Engineer and Aviation Architecture and Integration Subject Matter Expert. The ideal candidate will be part of a team that will review an Army Aviation Weapon System architecture in a Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) environment to support the development of requirements, designs, assessments, and reports for a prototype testing environment. This architecture engineer will lead in the implementation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of the weapon system design to support assessment and testing efforts for a broader team. Other duties include participation in technical working groups and interaction with the Government throughout the development lifecycle.

 Duties Include:

• Support the development and facilitation as an architect using the systems engineering processes to include requirements management, configuration management, data management, risk management, etc.
• Deep understanding of Aviation Systems and Architecture
• Experience with Aviation systems development, integration and test
• Develop and maintain SysML/UML models of Aviation Platform to include major systems and subsystems, software, digital architecture, and airworthiness requirements and specifications
• Integrate models into system functional models
• Lead the development of Milestone documentation and lead the development of the Systems Engineering Plan (SEP), Program Protection Plan, Systems Specification, Performance Work Statement, and/or Statement of Work (SOW), and Source Selection Plan (SSP)
• Support the development of Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF) Products, Concept of Operations (CONOPS), and Capability Development Requirements (CDD)
• Develop and maintain a system of interest functional and logical models
• Develop integration and training requirements for expansion of model-based systems engineering utilization in Army Aviation Participate in system requirements reviews and creating and/or updating requirement specifications and qualification models

Required Skills/Experience:

• Proficiency in Rhapsody, DOORS, and MagicDraw, Cameo Enterprise Architect, SysML, and/or other MBSE tools
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Basic knowledge of architecture, requirements engineering, CONOPS development, verification, test, and system integration to accommodate End-to-End Systems Engineering
• Experience with systems engineering processes in support of DoD system life cycle development
• At least 15 years of relevant experience
• Travel: approximately 20% or less
• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• An active DoD Secret clearance is required to perform this work. Candidates are required to have an active Secret clearance upon hire, and the ability to maintain this level of clearance during their employment.

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor Degree in an engineering or STEM discipline is required; Masters degree is highly desired
