Responsibilities

PeopleTec is currently seeking a Senior Lethality Engineer to support our Huntsville, AL location.

 

PeopleTec is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lethality Test and Analysis Engineer to join our dynamic team. The selected candidate will be a member of our Huntsville lethality test and analysis team and will work on projects involving various Department of Defense and Department of Energy programs, developing, executing, and managing system and component-level tests and analyses. Our team members represent some of the foremost experts in hypervelocity impact testing and post-impact analysis and have the opportunity to work with a wide-ranging group of Customers to develop innovative and creative solutions to address the nation’s most pressing challenges.

 

Duties Include:

  • Project Management:
    • Manage execution of multiple test programs simultaneously, ensuring timely analysis and delivery of results.
    • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to align testing efforts with overall project goals.
  • Testing:
    • Develop and implement test plans, procedures, and methodologies for assessing weapon system lethality.
    • Provide expert support for a variety of test and analysis programs conducted for the Department of Defense (DOD) and the Department of Energy (DOE).
    • Stay current with advancements in lethality testing technologies and methodologies, including instrumentation techniques
  • Data Interpretation and Reporting:
    • Analyze test data to draw meaningful conclusions and generate detailed reports.
    • Provide recommendations for system improvements based on test results and simulations.
    • Prepare and present findings to stakeholders, including technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Customer Interface and Leadership:
    • Confidently interface with customers at both working and senior levels to discuss test plans, results, and implications.
    • Lead project teams, ensuring effective communication and collaboration among team members.
    • Represent the organization at industry conferences, workshops, and meetings to discuss lethality engineering topics.

 

 

Qualifications

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and leadership capabilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment and independently.
  • Proficiency in hypervelocity impacts and shock physics.
  • Travel: Up to 10 %
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Secret Clearance, Top Secret Preferred
  • An active DoD Secret clearance is required to perform this work. Candidates are required to have at least an active Secret clearance upon hire, and the ability to maintain this level of clearance during their employment.

 

Education Requirements:

  • Master of Science Degree from an accredited university in a related discipline (engineering, physics, computer science, mathematics) and 10 years or more of professional experience.

    -OR-

    Bachelor of Science Degree from an accredited university in a related discipline (engineering, physics, computer science, mathematics) and 12 years or more of professional experience.
