Software Engineer / Architect

PeopleTec is currently seeking a Software Engineer / Architect to support our Huntsville, AL location.

We are currently seeking a mid/senior-level Software Engineer/Architect to support our Huntsville location.

Our team is seeking an exceptionally motivated self-starting Software Engineer / Architect to assist the architecture and development of our cutting-edge digital ecosystems and data mesh capabilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software engineering, cloud computing, data architecture, and microservices, with a focus on creating scalable and flexible systems that enable seamless integration and data interoperability across our digital platforms.

Duties Include:

• Assist with the design and development of digital ecosystem architectures including the integration of various systems, platforms, and tools.
• Design and implement data mesh architectures to ensure decentralized data ownership and access across the organization.
• Develop and deploy cloud-native applications utilizing AI and Large Language Models (LLMs) for scalable, high-performance solutions, leveraging platforms like AWS, Azure, and GCP to optimize performance and cost-efficiency.
• Designed and implemented responsive, user-friendly web front-end applications using modern frameworks like React, Angular, and Vue.js, with a focus on optimizing performance, accessibility, and cross-browser compatibility.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure architectural alignment with business goals and technology strategies.
• Develop and deploy software solutions within the digital ecosystem, ensuring high performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Build and maintain APIs, microservices, and other software components that enable interoperability and data flow across different platforms.
• Ensure the implementation of best practices in software development, including code reviews, testing, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD).
• Collaborate with product managers, business stakeholders, and other engineering teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, ensuring a shared understanding of the architecture and development processes.
• Continuously evaluate and improve the performance, security, and scalability of the digital ecosystem.

Required Skills/Experience:

• Mid to Senior Level Software Engineer/Architect experience (8+ years)
• Experience developing and deploying cloud-native applications utilizing AI and Large Language Models (LLMs) for scalable, high-performance solutions, leveraging platforms like AWS, Azure, and GCP to optimize performance and cost-efficiency.
• Experience designing and implementing responsive, user-friendly web front-end applications using modern frameworks like React, Angular, and Vue.js, with a focus on optimizing performance, accessibility, and cross-browser compatibility.
• Strong technical skills to include knowledge of some or all the following: software development, systems engineering, software architecture, and digital transformation.
• A deep understanding of Agile principles and methodologies.
• Travel: 10 %
• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• An active DoD Secret clearance is required to perform this work. Candidates are required to have an active Secret clearance upon hire, and the ability to maintain this level of clearance during their employment.

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, etc.

• The ability to negotiate and resolve conflicts effectively, both within the project team and with external parties.
• Located in the Huntsville, AL area or willing to relocate.
