Engineer III

PeopleTec is currently seeking an Engineer III to support our Huntsville, AL location.

PeopleTec, Inc. is currently seeking a full time highly skilled and motivated Engineer-3 to support Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Advanced Concepts in Huntsville, Al. This position will include systems engineering and other related program office support for the MDA/DVY Chief Engineer in a fast-paced environment.  Applicants must be capable of accomplishing assignments in teamwork or independent settings.  Work may require travel 10% of the time to various locations to include prime contractor sites, other program offices, integration sites, and applicable laboratories within the CONUS.

Required Skills/Experience:

• Experience working in a laboratory environment with laser technologies; to include ancillary systems such as thermal protection
• Possess practical technical/engineering knowledge in laser systems
• Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Capable of working independently, as a team member, or leading teams/tasks to solve engineering/scientific problems
• Capable of supporting implementation of system engineering processes to facilitate integration and transition of emerging capabilities
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience with generating and/or reviewing artifacts for major engineering technical reviews such as SRR, PDR, CDR, and IETR events
• Experience with assessing technical requirements and/or Interface Control Documents
• Experience with generating executive summaries and informational briefings for government decision makers
• Experience with Microsoft Office products: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Travel: 10 %
• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• An active DoD Secret clearance is required to perform this work. Candidates are required to have an active Secret clearance upon hire, and the ability to maintain this level of clearance during their employment.

Education Requirements:

• BS in engineering, mathematics, physics, technology, or science; with 7 years’ experience

Desired Skills (Prioritized):

• Experience with formulating operational concepts for missile defense applications
• Top Secret clearance with SCI Eligibility
• BS in Optical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Physics with a focus on exploitation of laser sensor data for missile defense applications
• Familiarity with current missile threats to the CONUS and Combatant Commands
• Technical experience with detecting or tracking objects with 2-D Infrared sensor data
• Integration of elements into missile defense weapon systems (sensor fusion, timeline analysis, engagement planning, state diagrams, ICDs)
• Familiarity with assessing Technology Readiness Levels (TRLs)
• Experience or familiarity with MDA weapon systems, radars, or C2BMC or BMDS OPIR Architecture (BOA)
• Experience with generating Test Objective Memorandums for MDA flight tests
