Software Engineer

PeopleTec is currently seeking a Software Engineer to support our Huntsville, AL location.

The Aviation Systems Integration Lab (AVNSIL) located within Software, Simulation, Systems, Engineering and Integration Directorate (S3I) on Redstone Arsenal is seeking a software engineer to become an integral member of our team. The successful candidate will work closely with others to develop aircraft simulation and stimulation solutions to serve a variety of customer needs. This position requires a self-starter, willingness to learn, excellent communication skills, and strong dedication to mission.

Required Skills/Experience:

• Proficiency in the C++ programming language

• Ability to perform software maintenance and minor upgrades to address user concerns

• Ability to perform testing and debugging ahead of software release to ensure no interruption to operations

• Ability to provide support, troubleshooting, and training to end users as necessary in use of system

• Ability to document code and work in agile environment

• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• An active DoD Secret clearance is required to perform this work. Candidates are required to have an active Secret clearance upon hire, and the ability to maintain this level of clearance during their employment.

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree and three (3) years' experience; Additional four (4) years' experience can be accepted in lieu of degree

Desired Skills:

• Familiarity with LabVIEW, Visual Studio, JIRA, and/or Git

• Familiarity with C# programming languages

• Experience working with MIL-STD-1553 and ARINC 429

• Experience in aircraft simulation, avionics and real time programming

• Experience working with the UH-60, CH-47, and/or AH-64 rotary wing aircraft platform systems

• Experience with SPIRENT systems

• Experience with out-the-window image generation systems
