Software Assurance Analyst

PeopleTec is currently seeking a Software Assurance (SwA) Analyst to support our on-site Huntsville, AL location.

The Software Assurance Analyst will provide advanced technical engineering support and research in the field of software assurance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform in-depth analysis of software source code and binary executables using a combination of automated tools and manual techniques.

• Identify and document coding flaws, exploitable vulnerabilities, and potential malicious indicators in software applications.

• Collaborate with program offices and software development teams to recommend and validate mitigation strategies for identified issues.

• Generate detailed technical reports outlining software risks, vulnerabilities, and actionable recommendations.

• Conduct research on emerging software assurance tools and evaluate their applicability to client-specific mission needs.

• Participate in technical working groups, briefings, and conferences to stay current on industry best practices and emerging threats.

Required Skills/Experience:

• Must have excellent communication skills as candidate will work directly with customers
• DevOps environments such as gitlab
• Languages such as C++, C#, NodeJS, Python
• 3-5 years experience developing software
• Cybersecurity experience, STIGs, SRGs, etc.
• Security+
• Travel: 10 %
• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• An active DoD Secret clearance is required to perform this work. Candidates are required to have an active Secret clearance upon hire, and the ability to maintain this level of clearance during their employment.

Education Requirements:

• BS degree in technical field as well as Sec+ or equivalent experience

Desired Skills:

• Experience with application scanning tools such as Fortify, CodeSonar, etc.
