Opportunity

PeopleTec is seeking an Acquisition Analyst to join our team at Redstone Arsenal, AL. The successful candidate will provide expert acquisition, contracting, and procurement support for a variety of Army programs. This role requires a proven track record in managing complex acquisition strategies, overseeing multiple contract types, and ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations and policies.

 

Duties Include:

  • Develop, advise, and execute acquisition strategies for multiple contract types, including:

    • Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Contracts (Fixed Price & Cost Reimbursement)

    • AMCOM EXPRESS Time & Materials (T&M) Task Orders

    • Material Blanket Purchase Agreements (BPAs)

    • Stand-alone Purchase Orders for hardware, IT hardware, and software licenses

  • Lead acquisition efforts for multi-billion-dollar IDIQ contracts supporting Utility Helicopters, MEDEVAC, Cargo/NAVSEA, PEO Missiles and Space, RCCTO, and other mission areas.

  • Act as Subject Matter Expert for procurement of IT hardware and software, including serving as POC for the Army CHESS database.

  • Interface daily with customers, Army Contracting Command (ACC), and prime contractors to maintain acquisition integrity and resolve pre- and post-award issues.

  • Prepare and coordinate Contract Requirement Packages, including Market Research Reports, Justifications & Approvals, Sole Source Justifications, and non-severability documentation.

  • Ensure compliance with FAR, DFARS, and Army acquisition policies while coordinating with Legal, Small Business Advocates, and ACC personnel.

  • Manage diverse funding sources including O&M, RDT&E, Procurement, FMS/LOAs, and Shipbuilding and Conversion, Navy (SCN).

  • Lead special initiatives, including:

    • Developing an approved SOFA with South Korea within 60 days to meet mission-critical timelines.

    • Awarding high-value material procurements under aggressive timelines, such as a $1.2M V35/85 Air Dynamometer in 90 days.

    • Streamlining CDRL processing by aligning distribution statements across stakeholders.

Qualifications

 

Required Skills/Experience:

  • 5+ years of specialized acquisition and contracting experience in a DoD environment

  • Proven ability to manage multiple complex contracts simultaneously

  • In-depth knowledge of FAR, DFARS, and Army acquisition processes

  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement skills

  • Experience with AMCOM EXPRESS, IDIQs, BPAs, and stand-alone purchase orders

  • Experience managing various DoD funding types and sources

Desired Skills:

  • Prior experience as a COR on large-scale contracts

  • Knowledge of Army CHESS procurement processes

  • Experience leading Tiger Teams or cross-functional working groups

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Acquisition, or related field (or equivalent experience)

Clearance Requirements:

  • Active DoD Secret clearance or the ability to obtain one
