Database Developer

PeopleTec is currently seeking a Database Developer to support our Huntsville, AL location.

Job Functions:

• Responsible for SQL and PL/SQL development to include:

  • Developing the backend reports to support user needs

  • Developing custom scripts to automate various database management processes

  • Monitoring and troubleshooting database performance; developing, optimizing, and tuning stored procedures, functions, triggers, views, and queries in support of application development

  • Interfacing with customers, users, and developers as needed

  • Maintaining the database schema, database design, and transition development activities

  • Providing technical subject matter expertise (SME) on ingesting into the database from sources such as file systems, and perform maintenance.

Required Skills/Experience:

• 6 years of experience

• SQL, Oracle, Postgres or MongoDB experience
• Travel: 10 %
• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• An active DoD Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility is required to perform this work. Candidates are required to have an active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility upon hire, and the ability to maintain this level of clearance during their employment.

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor Degree in related field or in lieu of degree 4 additional years of experience
